On my tensor book laptop, I am experiencing the same exact error in this forum here: CUDA runtime implicit initialization on GPU:0 failed. Status: device kernel image is invalid? · Issue #41990 · tensorflow/tensorflow · GitHub.

Wondering if this error is expected or if anyone in the Lambda community has encountered it when training.
