Fan runs with no cause

Is there a way to see what the fan settings are? Like what temp it kicks off at. My issue is that mine just runs every like 15-30 mins for a few mins even when the system is doing “nothing” and locked. Only thing that stops it is shutting the lid. Then it doesn’t do it.
