# Libcaffe2_gpu.so: undefined reference to cv::String::allocate

Having trouble installing the latest version of caffe2? The error says `libcaffe2_gpu.so: undefined reference to cv::String::allocate.` It looks like a conflict with OpenCV.

Solution:

`make uninstall` in your OpenCV source folder.
