Rent a windows machine

Our instances only have Ubuntu 22/24 as the base OS, we do not offer any Windows machine in our services. If you have other questions or concerns, please let us know thru our Support Portal.

Is there a list of instance types by region somewhere?

In addition, we do not have a region that has both A100 and H100. You may have to transfer files between the two machines’ persistent storage.

You may have to use our API to list available instances per region. Further filtering may be needed on which instance type you need and where.

Virtual environments Lambda Stack

Hello @sahrens, here is a sample case of installing a virtual environment to Jupyter Lab. The test-jupyter environment must be activated before adding it to your notebook; it should appear as an option when changing kernels. Let me know if this works for you.

Hello @artemis, thanks for confirming that CUDA 11.8 worked. Here are the steps to setup a Conda environment with Pytorch 2.0+CUDA 11.8:
Install miniconda. You can run it without super user privileges and keep it local. See link here on how to download and configure: Miniconda — conda documentation

For H100 instances, you are going to have to install CUDA version 11.8 or higher. I would suggest using the newest container found here:
You can also setup a Conda environment with Pytorch 2.0+CUDA 11.8. I can send the instructions if you are interested. Let me know if this works…
