# Problem installing lambda stack: Failed to fetch python3-tensorflow-cuda

Hello, just try to rerun the command, that happens sometimes. Just rerun the command make sure your device has a stable internet connection.

TLDR: Rerun install command.

# Cannot apt --fix, potentially conflicting packages

Please try this: `sudo apt-get update && sudo apt-get dist-upgrade`. This should upgrade it properly then restart via: `sudo reboot` and it should work perfectly fine again.

# OpenCV in lambda-stack - non-gpu?

OpenCV GPU has to be installed manually and is to my knowledge not included in Lambda Stack. Here’s an article explaining it: [How to install OpenCV 4.2.0 with CUDA 10.1 on Ubuntu 20.04 LTS (Focal Fossa) | by Shitty Bots | Medium](https://medium.com/@sb.jaduniv/how-to-install-opencv-4-2-0-with-cuda-10-1-on-ubuntu-20-04-lts-focal-fossa-bdc034109df3)

# CUDA 10.1 Upgrade for Lambda Stack

Hello,
are you planning CUDA 10.1? Are you working on it already? I would really need it now for TF 2.1 and up and I really don’t want to install manually.

# Unable to uninstall tensorflow

Lambda stack installs the packages with apt. You can uninstall with `sudo apt autoremove python-tensorflow`

---

# Import numba fails

For updates, do `sudo apt install python3-numba` or if you want to keep the version you can install it via `pip3 install numba`.

# Unable to enter desktop

reinstall the nvidia driver and then install the ubuntu desktop again. Remember to disable nouveau in the bootloader.

# The TensorFlow library was compiled to use AVX2 instructions, but these aren't available on your machine - Solving this issue

Yea your cpu is pretty old. Your CPU just doesn't support AVX2. You have to uninstall the tensorflow cpu version and install tensorflow-gpu. That should probably work.

# Lambda-tensorflow-benchmark on a tensorbook?

No actually no reason for that. You didn’t really give much information about what you did run. Maybe some more information would be helpful.

# Tensorbook - Ubuntu 18 No sound

Try `sudo ubuntu-drivers autoinstall`

# Upgrade Jupyter 4.4 to latest

That’s good. Have a great day.

Yes sorry that I did just read that, I would like to answer quicker. Currently that’s a cuDNN problem. Hopefully they fix it.

# Lambda Tensorbook Specifications

Yes activate it in the Boom and check in Ubuntu under Settings then Devices and then Thunderbolt. Check that full access is checked there.

Yes but it comes down to your monitor. They only power specific Laptops up to a certain amount to f power.

# Desktop windows 10 Cuda issue

Ehm this is looking like a BIOS failure. Use the default bios settings. Make sure that you installed the UEFI version of Windows and maybe reinstall all the drivers. Overall I can't recommend a multi gpu rig in windows for Tensorflow… it's really buggy especially with conda. Install everything with pip...

# Downgrade to Cuda 9

Just install CUDA9 from the CUDA archive. Then reboot and delete CUDA10 from path.

# Experiencing some technical issues with my new TensorBook

That's a common problem. I had that too. But since the last Ubuntu update, it was solved. Just update Ubuntu 18.04 as far as possible.

Something went wrong when you added the repo. Just do this:

```bash
wget -O${LAMBDA_REPO} https://lambdalabs.com/static/misc/lambda-stack-repo.deb && \
sudo dpkg -i ${LAMBDA_REPO} && rm -f ${LAMBDA_REPO} && \
sudo apt-get update && sudo apt-get install -y lambda-stack-cuda
```
