# Managing your account

This guide describes how to perform common account management tasks.

## Managing account users

### Invite users to your account

If you have the Admin role in your account, you can invite users to join the account.

**Be sure to invite only trusted persons to your account!**

Currently, all user roles have permission to create, update, and delete Lambda Cloud resources. For more information about the permissions each role has, see [Access and security > Account-level roles](https://docs.lambda.ai/public-cloud/access-security/#account-level-roles).

To invite other users to your account:

1. Navigate to [Account settings > Users](https://cloud.lambda.ai/account/users) in the Lambda Cloud console.
2. Click **Invite**. A modal appears.
3. In the **Invite teammate** dialog, enter the email of the person you'd like to invite and select the role you'd like to give them. Currently, you can assign one of two roles: _Admin_ or _Member_.
4. Click **Send invitation** to send the invite. If the invitee accepts the request, they'll be added to your account and its default workspace.

You can delete a pending invitation by clicking **⋮** in the row where the person is listed and then choosing **Delete invitation**.

### Update a user's role

If you have the Admin role in your account, you can update the roles of other users in the account.

To update another user's role:

1. Navigate to [Account settings > Users](https://cloud.lambda.ai/account/users) in the Lambda Cloud console.
2. In the row containing the user's details, click **⋮**. A context menu appears.
3. Click **Change to {Role}**. If the user is a Member, **{Role}** will be Admin. If the user is an Admin, **{Role}** will be Member.

On success, a notice appears confirming that the role was changed.

### Remove a user from your account

If you have the Admin role in your account, you can remove other users from the account.

To remove a user from your account:

1. Navigate to [Account settings > Users](https://cloud.lambda.ai/account/users) in the Lambda Cloud console.
2. In the row containing the user's details, click **⋮**. A context menu appears.
3. Click **Remove member**. A modal appears.
4. Review the warning text.
5. If you still want to proceed, type `remove member` into the input field and then click **Remove member** to finish removing the user.
